A Day in Blyth
This morning we drove over to Blyth Beach
It had a really nice boardwalk.
Cute beach huts that you can actually rent for the day to get out of the sun...I don't know what sun they are trying to get out of but cute none the less.
I really loved that they had these memorial benches all along the boardwalk. My mother loved the ocean and I would totally sponsor one in Morro Bay by the rock which was her favorite place.
We also walked around the Blyth Battery. They are only open on the weekends to be able to enter the buildings but it was still kind of cool to walk around on the outside.
The beach was really nice and clean but I couldn't believe the kids that were in the water.
We would have loved to walk out to the lighthouse but I don't think you are allowed.
Blyth Links Cemetary is just across the street.
225th Anti-aircraft Artillery Seachlight Battalion of the US Army trained here.
Doesn't this look like an abstract person? I think it is just some spilled paint.
After the beach we walked around the town center.
They were having a flea market.
So I had to buy this cute little tea set so that I can have a tea party with the grandkids.
They used to have a submarine base in Blyth.
I love these benches.
We picked up a roast dinner for lunch to take home and split. It was sooooo good and hit the spot.
After lunch Charleen and I took a walk about Bedlington.
Which is where the Bedlington Terrier originated from.
We liked the doll in the back seat.
We also saw a few old American cars.
