What Are We Doing During Ten Day Travel Quarantine

You would think that by day five we would be adjusted to the time change but I think because of having to quarantine it is making it harder.   We can only leave for necessities lucky for us our refrigerator doesn't really hold a lot which means we need to go to the grocery store every other day.  I can't wait until day eight to take our next Covid test just to get out of the house.  Which is saying a lot since you saw how enjoyable those tests are.  We get a call from the quarantine "police" everyday or at least I do.  Ben and Charleen usually get a call every other day on a rotating basis.  Roger has gotten a call most days but is usually busy or has his ringer off so misses half of the calls.  It is the same script each time which is probably a good thing because sometimes I can't really understand what they are saying but I now know what my answers need to be.  I have had a guy call that sounded like he had just rolled out of bed after a night at the pub and wasn't quite awake or sober enough to pronounce his words, a lady that it sounded like her kids were playing in the background and someone who was probably from another country.

Other than taking our daily check in calls our days have been spent pretty much either playing games, watching TV, napping and eating.

Roger has made breakfast a couple of times which is usually served closer to noon.

We cleaned out the fridge for this meal.  Sausage rolls, cottage pie and a yummy salad (served in a pot since I couldn't find a bowl big enough to hold it) from our Costco trip.  Roger made a muddled raspberry and tonic drink with the Bombay Bramble gin that he also bought at Costco.

Sticky Toffee Pudding and chocolate chip gelato for dessert.

Another night we had mixed doner meat and a meat pie from a little take away right around the corner from our place.  We actually got food from here a few times.

My daily treat has been the Victorian sponge with extra strawberries.
Today we had Chinese food delivered which was our one meal for the day.  The best part is it came with french fries.

Charleen has her exercise band that she is doing.

It is a good thing that my watch reminds me to complete my steps every hour.  I get up and walk around in the backyard or drive everyone crazy by walking from the living room to the kitchen and back 50 times.  Even with that I barely get any exercise.

Since it is supposed to rain for the next four days that we are here I decided to do some laundry.  One load took over 2 hours to wash.

  1. The food looks yummy! Find out how to make those Victorian sponges with strawberries! You can practice while you wait out your quarantine! And then you will have them perfected to make for me! 😋
